BECOMING A RAFT GUIDE AT RIVERMEN

If you are interested in learning to be a raft guide, please read about Rivermen’s Guide School and candidate qualifications for enrolling. We pride ourselves on having the best Guide School and River Guide Training Program in the business!

The West Virginia DNR requires that all commercial whitewater guides be 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States.

If you feel you possess the qualities and commitment to becoming a Rivermen guide, simply complete our online job application no later than March 1st. All applicants must be available on the second weekend in March to complete the interview process and their introductory River trip in West Virginia.

The Rivermen accepts a limited number of new seasonal employees each year. Candidates for Rivermen seasonal jobs must possess the following:

• Genuine appreciation and interest in the outdoor recreational activities.
• Friendly, funny, sincere attitude and outgoing personality.
• Ability to participate in and enjoy hard work.
• Good physical health and energy to commit to an exciting company.
• All employees must be a legal resident of the United States or have a current work visa.
