This package maximizes your weekend in the Gauley River Recreation Area with Double Upper Gauley fun and excitement. Not only do you get to raft the Upper Gauley twice, you will enjoy a hot country breakfast both days, riverside lunch both days and a hearty dinner buffet as well as 2 nights of lodging of you choice.

This 2-Day package gives you a weekend full of extreme whitewater rafting on the Upper Gauley. If you did not get to tackle the Upper Gauley on the first day, you have the opportunity to do it again on the second day. The first day takes you through the Upper/Middle sections of the Gauley with 6 major Class V rapids along with a little extra fun. Day 2 gives you the opportunity to make amends with just the Upper section that thrashed you the day before.

I have to say I was apprehensive when my Dad asked me to join him for a whitewater rafting trip. I have never felt very comfortable around water, or frankly, anything that I am not able to control. When we arrived, I was immediately impressed by the fact that we were greeted outside of the lodge by employees who were sincere, friendly, and reassuring. I am a trauma nurse, so I tend to see all the horrible things that can go wrong, especially for thrill seekers. I was very pleased to see that the staff were obviously welltrained, safety oriented, and knowledgeable. It was also apparent that each guide truly has a love for their job and a respect for the river. After we went through the first set of rapids, I was no longer fearful, and I had the time of my life. I can honestly say it is the best vacation experience that I have had and I can't wait to come back. I am so glad that my first rafting adventure was with Rivermen. My friends thought I was crazy for trying this out and I told them before I left that the only things we regret in life are the things that we never try. Thanks for helping me prove my point.
