In the past year, Rivermen has merged with Class VI and Mountain River Tours to become America's Adventure Resort.  We pride ourselves on offering the best outdoor recreational experiences in the country. BECOMING A RAFT GUIDE AT AWVR (Class VI Mountain River & Rivermen)
Training has already begun for 2009.  Please check back in for 2010 raft guide training in the fall.

If you are interested in learning to be a raft guide, please read about AWVR’s Guide School and candidate qualifications for enrolling. We pride ourselves on having the best Guide School and River Guide Training Program in the business!

The West Virginia DNR requires that all commercial whitewater guides be 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States.

If you feel you possess the qualities and commitment to becoming an AWVR guide, simply complete our online job application no later than March 1st. All applicants must be available on the second weekend in March to complete the interview process and their introductory River trip in West Virginia.

We also accept a limited number of new seasonal employees each year in several other areas. Candidates for seasonal jobs must possess the following:
