We offer a variety of resort programs and activities on the New River Gorge to add to your adventure vacation fun. Vacation Programs and Activities Morning Yoga On the Gorge We have partnered with Kula Yoga Studio to offer fun and stimulating yoga classes, a great way to start your morning. Rejuvenate and re-balance your body and mind through yoga techniques involving the breath and mind. Yoga postures encourage focus, inner stillness, perseverance, patience and self-acceptance. Simply put, yoga serves to create awareness and wholeness of body, mind and spirit.  Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, our instructors will lead you on a one hour class of standing poses, sitting poses and ending with savasana resting pose. You will ready for whatever comes your way! Details: Meet your instructors on the deck below Smokey's On the Gorge. Saturday Morning: 7am to 8 am Sunday Morning: 8am to 9am Minimum Age: 12 years Experience Needed: None Cost: $10.00 per class -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday Nights - Free Movie Night (Sponsored by Wild Rock) every Friday night, June – August. Bring your blanket and cozy up in the courtyard to see new action releases or classic family favorites. Resort Facilities for Little Kids, Big Kids, and All The Rest of Us Children’s Playground Built with fun in mind, this lovely playground has slides, climbing planks, tunnel tubes, swings and even a viewing tower to to keep the little ones laughing. Located at the heart of the Canyon Rim Campus, this play area will keep the kids happy will you check in for your adventures or shop in the store, or while you and the whole family just relax along the edge of the New River Gorge.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fire Pit for Campfire Stories and S'mores There's nothing like any evening around a campfire to make you feel you're really on vacation! Grab a camp chair or pull up an extra log and settle in for an evening of laughter and story telling around our firepit. If you're a musician, bring your guitar or fiddle or whatever gets you moving and come start a sing-along.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Volleyball Court Challenge your crew or another to mini tournament and play until it gets too dark to see the ball. We have 2 sand volleyball courts, one at the Mill Creek and one at the Canyon Rim Campus. There is also a grass volleyball court at the Mountain State Campground.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mill Creek Hiking Trail This 5 mile trail wanders through the newest Adventure West Virginia property as it hops and skips along beautiful Mill Creek. Listen to the creek bubble along. Bring some snacks and your camera - maybe you'll spot a salamander on a rock! Stop at the Fishin’ Hole and try your luck or stop at The Grotto for a quiet, meditative moment. The kids can rent a mountain bike and blast around the trail hooting and hollering all the way. Peaceful walk or two wheeled adventure, it's up to you! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scenic Overlooks of the New River Gorge Bridge & Canyon A mountain vista can take your breath away, stop time and make you feel part of something greater. The spectacular views of the New River Gorge from our resort are some of the most stunning anywhere. Take a moment to walk out on a viewing platform and absorb. You'll be glad you did  |
