Rivermen
Experience the best of both worlds, white water rafting on the New River and Gauley Rivers in West Virginia ! Raft the New River (day 1) and the Gauley River (day 2) for nonstop whitewater rafting action. This is a great trip to gain personal insight into the personalities and nuances of rafting each of these popular rivers, without missing a beat. Bring your coworkers for one of your corporate teambuilding programs, your friends for that unforgettable bachelor party or bachelorette party, your family for your family reunion trip or grab your group of whitewater enthusiasts for that once a year annual paddling reunion.

Note that due to the fluctuating and unpredictable water levels, Gauley rafting trips can change daily and may not have sufficient water or conversely may have too high a level for us to safely raft. The section of river is not determined until the morning of the trip and the trip is never guaranteed. If this trip does not run due to water levels, then we will place you on the New River and give you the boat upgrade to make up for the difference in cost.

When this Gauley River trip is running, there is the possibility of substituting our standard 16’ rafts with our team extreme versions or possibly even paddle using duckies. Depending on water levels and conditions, you could end up on the Gauley River in a raft or a duck for a one-of-a-kind whitewater adventure!

We had to head home shortly after the group returned from rafting and didn't get to properly relay our thanks and appreciation to Doug Boyles, our raft guide on the Gauley Gauntlet on Sunday, October 12th. Hope you can share this with him as he really deserves kudos for his superb navigation he steered us into class act rapids, negotiated some fun raft tricks and didn't have a single involuntary swimmer! Go Doug!! and his apparent friend, Lady Luck His extensive knowledge of the river made us confident rafters and we felt safe despite some pretty intimidating rapids. Doug has a great sense of humor as can be told by his patience with my husband's quirky humor! ha ha, and knows how to provide a good time! Doug is a "keeper" guide and we highly recommend him! Hope to see him on another trip next year! Keep up the good work. Cheers! Judi Kuhl and Art Cammers
