New River whitewater rafting in the Fall offers a unique perspective for experiencing a large volume river at a calmer level. Water levels are usually lower in Fall season than in the spring and summer time and our Fall New River rafting trips allow you to have the river to yourself and have a trip tailored more specifically to your groups’ needs. This late season whitewater rafting trip on the New River also offers beautiful foliage toward late September. We run these New River trips during the middle of the week or as part of the Gauley River Autumn Triple Play.
Rafting the Lower New River is like being on a different river with each water level.

The rafts in our group had very little trouble on the intense Upper Gauley, and after watching several other companies perform on the river, I was even more impressed with the knowledge, experience, teamwork and teaching abilities of our guides. They knew how to do it well and make us feel 'safe' at the same time.
