I have to say I was apprehensive when my Dad asked me to join him for a whitewater rafting trip. I have never felt very comfortable around water, or frankly, anything that I am not able to control. When we arrived, I was immediately impressed by the fact that we were greeted outside of the lodge by employees who were sincere, friendly, and reassuring. I am a trauma nurse, so I tend to see all the horrible things that can go wrong, especially for thrill seekers. I was very pleased to see that the staff were obviously welltrained, safety oriented, and knowledgeable. It was also apparent that each guide truly has a love for their job and a respect for the river. After we went through the first set of rapids, I was no longer fearful, and I had the time of my life. I can honestly say it is the best vacation experience that I have had and I can't wait to come back. I am so glad that my first rafting adventure was with Rivermen. My friends thought I was crazy for trying this out and I told them before I left that the only things we regret in life are the things that we never try. Thanks for helping me prove my point. See ya next year!
